STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO GETTING STARTED
- Check to find out frequency of collections in your area.
- A minimum of 6 bags of cups is required for a collection. REMEMBER the more bags we collect the less impact on the environment and costs!
- Vending cups must be identified with PS6 or PS06 (including Klix Cups) for us to collect for recycling. Look on the bottom of one of the cups your site are using and you should be able to see a recycling triangle with either a number 6 or 06 in the middle and PS around the edge. If you are unsure please contact our office.
- Cups need to be stacked one inside the other the easiest way of doing this is by using the special stacking bins. Several types are available through Save-a-Cup (look on the enclosed product list and brochures).
- Cups taken from the bins must be placed in CLEAR plastic bags tied up tightly and stored preferably in an outside container ready for the driver to collect. This is very important as the driver reserves the right to leave cups behind that are not correctly stored. (clear bags available from SAC).
- Fill in and return the Registration Form below with a site map if possible, along with your order for bins, bags etc if required. Once your bins are delivered you are ready to start your collections.
- We will then wait to hear from you to tell us when you are ready with 6 or more bags of cups to collect. Only then will we arrange for your 1st collection.
- A waste transfer Note (Duty of Care) will be sent out once collections are under way. They are issued annually in line with current legislation.
- Whilst we endeavour to provide a reliable free collection service to our customers, occasions may arise where a compromise is necessary for logistical reasons.
REMEMBER SAVE-A-CUP WILL NOT START THE COLLECTIONS UNTIL WE HEAR FROM YOU
